Dubai Media City: real costs, licences and review
Broadcasters, agencies and production houses — the regional media cluster.
Our view
Dubai Media City hosts the regional operations of international broadcasters, advertising networks and publishers. Like its TECOM siblings it trades on cluster effects rather than price, and it is the credible address for a media business that needs to be taken seriously by regional clients.
For smaller creative operators — freelance producers, small agencies, content studios — Sharjah Media City (SHAMS) or Fujairah Creative City deliver a comparable media licence at a fraction of the cost. The difference is the address and the neighbours, which matters for pitching regional brands and very little otherwise.
